
This temporary on call position performs a variety of tasks that support the operations of Dining Service. The hours of work vary as needs arise.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Sweep and mop dining room, pantry and kitchen floors per sanitation schedule.
- Wash pots, pans and other cooking utensils.
- Operate automatic dishwashing machine.
- Maintain sanitation of kitchen equipment per sanitation schedule.
- Clear, wash and set-up tables after each meal.
- Clean and fill all condiments, cereals, etc. after each meal.
- Work serving line in dining rooms.
- Maintain salad/deli bar and beverage machines in dining rooms.
- Comply with standard kitchen/food safety guidelines, procedures and regulations.
- Assist with the receiving of supply orders.
- Assist in the Staff Dining Room.
- Performs related work as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to read and write
- High School Diploma
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Prior food service experience preferred.
- Candidates must be customer service oriented, organized and detail oriented, and able to adhere to food handling/safety guidelines.
- Able to stand, walk, stoop, bend and carry to perform the responsibilities of a kitchen worker.
