Overview:

We’re seeking an experienced Marketing Content Writer to connect nonprofit and education professionals with the Lumaverse products that will solve their organizing and group management needs. The ideal candidate enjoys creating and perfecting content, is a stickler for writing style guides, and is eager to make an impact on day one. If you get excited about dreaming up ways for people to engage with content and have a passion in finding ways to make technology approachable, interesting, and desirable to our customers in the B2B and Enterprise space, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Write well-researched content for Lumaverse brand products (e.g., articles, blog posts, newsletters, landing pages, emails, video scripts)
  • Develop product feature-related content for multiple platforms, such as product descriptions and how-to resources
  • Follow an editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the content production team to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the organization’s mission to inspire ideas and content
  • Collaborate across multi-team dimensions, including customer support teams, QA, development, graphic designers, and UI/UX
  • Organize writing schedules to complete drafts of content or finished projects within deadlines
  • Work with contract writers and a CMS to publish content marketing articles and blog posts
  • Maintain strict adherence to the style guides of each company and their processes for publishing content
  • Provide input for updates to site and mobile written and visual content as needed (landing pages, press kit, sign up themes, modals, in-app messaging)
  • Write and copy edit all other types of marketing materials (including but not limited to case studies, awards nominations, product descriptions, newsletters, press releases)
  • Assist with writing and reviewing messaging for large scale internet contests including front-facing landing page, terms and conditions, and winner communication.
  • Work with a graphic designer to create visuals for content campaigns (i.e., blog images, on site promotions, white papers, and infographics)
  • Interact with marketing team to strategize additional ways to provide Lumaverse customers a phenomenal on-site experience

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, creative writing, marketing, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience in a marketing or writing-intensive position
  • Strong understanding of marketing content and managing timelines
  • Working knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in writing to maximize the online visibility of a website in search results
  • Develop editorial strategy so content is consistent across all delivery platforms
  • Strong editing skills for writing style and tone for your own work as well as drafts written by others
  • Proficiency with technology, especially writing programs and common tools, such as Google Docs and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with colleagues and management in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple projects
  • Enjoy working with technology and learning new software tools
  • Good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary
  • Positive, flexible, can-do attitude
  • Adaptable to competing demands and staying accountable in a remote work environment
